400lph E85 High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump 50-1235 - single barb

The AEM 50-1230 fuel pump is the most powerful in-tank pump on the market and features a compact housing with a diameter of 39 mm, which has the same design as the Walbro GSS342/GSS352. Even at high fuel pressures, it can deliver a large flow rate, and thanks to its high efficiency, the power consumption is relatively low. Each pump is individually tested before delivery to guarantee a flow rate of at least 400 liters per hour. The pump is suitable for use with regular gasoline as well as ethanol- and methanol-based fuels. A universal installation kit is included.

The difference between our new 50-1230 & 50-1235 400LPH pumps is the pump’s outlet fitting. See attached document showing comparison between 50-1200, 50-1235, and 50-1230 pumps.

50-1235 offers a smooth outlet fitting, similar to the outlet fitting on 50-1200 and is a direct upgrade/replacement to 50-1200 in all aspects. Anyone buying a 50-1200 today that needs more fuel volume is a great candidate for 50-1235.

On the other hand, 50-1230 offers a double barb fitting that is better suited for hose and hose clamp installations.

My guidance on these is 50-1235 works in most 90’s to mid-2000 vehicles where the OEM pump goes into the OEM fuel sender unit/hanger and seals using an O-ring seal whereas 50-1230 is best suited for vehicle applications from late 80s to mid-90s and newer applications from mid-2000s onwards where the OEM pump connects to the fuel sending unit via hose and hose clamp. The barbs provides something for the hose and clamp to bite onto.
